What did I do?
As a full time employee, I identified and implemented ways to expand sustainable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable development in the community and the region. Developed strategies in areas of marketing, sales, web, advertising, operations and information technology (Salesforce, Microsoft) to enable SEG to efficiently bring about the change needed for the bright future we all hope for.
* Educator and author in all things sustainability and creator of the Sustainable Guide to the Sierra Foothills.
* Manager of Sales & Marketing for SEG’s installation service which included local solar & backup power (batteries and generators), car chargers and supporting electrical contractor work.
Tasks:
- Marketing: Created and managed marketing, web and ad department, face of the company in business networking meetings, help maintain and strengthen their sustainability focused image.
- Business Consultant: Organized staff after change of ownership, facilitated meetings, and helped create departments and company structure
- IT: Programmed and administrated Salesforce CRM (for sales, operations, customer service), shifted company to digital and cloud everything
- Sales Manager: Set and enforced sales goals and objectives, analyzed and shared KPI reports with owners and hired sales team
Accomplishments:
- Helped SEG win the “Best of Nevada County” for Solar Company for the 1st time in 20 years
- Kept on as the only full-time staff member during the pandemic
- Grew all marketing channels from zero to thriving (web, social, pr, email newsletter, content, SEO, networking, partnerships, ad management,+)
- Growth in 5 years: 2x amount of staff, increased office size from 1 to 2
- Created and published the first “The Sustainable Guide to the Sierra Foothills” in the regional newspaper
